As a result we are always connected... this annoys the ISP's !

Recently, I made some changes in my internet connection and faced the following problem and came out with a solution...

***** Problem *****
ISPs(Internet Service Providers) automatically disconnects the connection after some time in case of absolute inactivity. This reduces the load on their servers.
But...
This is irritating for the user, as he has to login every now and then...

Now, Imagine you are reading an article and after 10 mins.. as you turn to next page...? It asks you to Login..??? Now... that's crazy... isn't it ?

***** Solution *****
I coded an application that keeps the connection alive ! Basically it maintains little activity and prevents it from logging out. This is tested to be safe.. so no worries.

** This will start the Application every time you start your computer

Mission Accomplished...!
Now you will not get logged out automatically as the application will maintain some activity.

If you want to remove it...
** Just Delete it from the Startup Folder & Restart.
** To close it without Restart.. (ctrl + shift + esc) > Processes >Keep_Alive > End Process.

Trick To ReCover Permanently Deleted Files Easily

Sometimes we delete the files permanently, and realize that deleting them is like a Blunder...

For all those folks,

Here is the solution

Software called "Kissass Undelete" , can bring those files from the hard disk or your flash drive.

Conditions : Only if the data on that drive is not re-occupied(or written). that means the space which was available after the deletion is not been occupied after the deletion.

When the files search has been completed, it will show you the results with the name, typ, size and the last modified date of the searched file.

The major types of System Softwares are:

Let's start with the bottom of the software hierarchy. The application softwares are those softwares that are not required by the computer to function properly. These softwares are installed and used by users because they perform a single task very efficiently and make the task simpler and faster for the user. There are various types of applications software, seeing how much use they can be put into. They are broadly classified as follows:

• Information workers: ERP software, email and blogging softwares, accounting, banking, word processing, presentation and publishing softwares come under this category.
• Content Access: Media players and web browsers are part of this category.
• Enterprise Infrastructure: Database management systems, document management systems, geographic information systems, assets management and workflow softwares are part of this category.
• Entertainment: All entertainment softwares come in here including mobile, computer and console games as well as screen savers and digital pets.
• Simulation software: All simulation softwares are part of this including vehicle simulation, game simulation, battlefield simulation, scientific simulation as well as device simulation softwares.

Softwares.. are they soft?

Let's start with the basics. Softwares are basically sets of instructions and related data that instruct the computer what to do and how to do it. Computer software, commonly termed as "programs" and also "applications" are just different sets of instructions.
 Softwares are developed by programmers using languages that we understand that are translated by other programs in to languages that the computer understands.

Softwares are divided into three categories:

• System software: These are the softwares which are specifically designed to interact with the hardware, operate the hardware as well as provide a basic framework for helping other softwares to run alongside them. Examples include operating systems, firmwares, device drivers, etc.
• Programming software: These are the softwares that the software programmers use to create, debug and maintain other programs and applications. Examples are compilers, debuggers, interpreters, linkers, and text editors, that can be combined together to accomplish a task.
• Application software: All other software types come under this category. They include programs that need computation, word processors, browsers, entertainment softwares, games, databases, educational softwares, etc.

Software development is neither an easy process nor a short process. It has its own development life cycles, that programmers follow while creating an efficient and well designed software.

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last couple of days, University has got really busy and I had no free time at all to do any post. The weekend however has arrived and I have some free time to do some work. Todays post will be about blocking adverts on websites while using Safari. I find that adverts on web pages are getting more an more annoying and some, inevitably, need to be removed from view.

This plugin for Safari is very similar to one for Firefox, called Adblock Plus. They are both designed to block adverts from view. These can include those really annoying half page ones that pop up, or adverts that make no sense and you don’t want to see. Its also very useful if you run on a limited connection and want to save the bandwidth. Some, especially Flash, adverts take up a lot of bandwidth and you may want to remove them.
